Southern Cross Pharma specialises in sourcing generic pharmaceutical products and then registering those products with the appropriate health authorities for the Australian and New Zealand markets. During the registration process, we enter into agreements with businesses that have both an established infrastructure and the experience to take these products through the distribution chain to retail pharmacy. Early products were destined for the "over the counter" (OTC) market but the focus of Southern Cross Pharma has now developed towards the supply of prescription products for retail pharmacy and hospital markets.

Personnel

Southern Cross Pharma is owned and run by Managing Director Dr Neill Stacey who has a PhD in pharmacology and toxicology.

After spending a number of years in research and teaching, Dr Stacey entered the pharmaceutical industry in the field of regulatory affairs. He then branched into the commercial aspects of running a pharmaceutical generics business. In 2000, Dr Stacey established Southern Cross Pharma which has shown steady growth, especially in the last few years.

Location

Southern Cross Pharma Pty Ltd is located on the South Coast of New South Wales in Australia.

This is about a forty minute flight or a four hour drive to Sydney and a ninety minute drive to Canberra where the Australian health authority (Therapeutic Goods Administration) is located.
